Here at Fern Farm Cottages, our small family run business offers two, two-bedroom self-catering cottages called “The Old Stables”. The cottages were lovingly converted in 2006 by ourselves. These unique cottages are nestled into our small private neighbourhood here at Fern Farm next to Buxton Riding School. They offer private off-road parking in a safe quiet rural environment. Set in 95 acres of hills and woodland and yet only 15 minutes' walk to the town centre of Buxton. You will feel like you are in the heart of the peak district, with footpaths and Derbyshire's no.1 equestrian centre on your doorstep. Come and relax and share this quiet, safe and stress-free secret space of ours with hassle free parking and comfortable, affordable and beautiful safe surroundings. But hey, 'don't tell everybody'.

The Buxton Opera House has been beautifully restored and offers a huge variety of entertainment from musicals, pantomimes, drama, comedy to festivals including puppets, opera and literature, Gilbert & Sullivan and the fun-filled Fringe.
Whatever cuisine you enjoy, Buxton will be able to provide it. There is plenty of variety.

Another wonderful structure is Cavendish Arcade, the original site of the hot baths and today home to exclusive shops housed in the old treatment rooms. There are lots of other shops too, as well as a traditional market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Stroll around the Pavilion Gardens, with its manicured grounds and Serpentine paths. Look out for local fairs and exhibitions, the monthly farmers' market or tap those toes at an afternoon tea dance. Step inside the Great Dome, once a magnificent stable block and now the local university centre-piece - it's the largest unsupported dome in the UK, with forty-four pillars!
